DATs work with Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs).

Barnardo's Streetlevel Family Service

Barnardo’s Streetlevel Family Service is a very friendly agency that offers a free confidential service to all drug users, their families and friends. Based in South Tyneside, we also offer support to anyone affected by HIV.

Impact

Impact offers a range of services:

* Family Mediation for couples experiencing divorce or separation.

* Peer mediation schemes – for children in schools trained in low level conflict resolution.

* Mediation between Parents/School on issues of bullying.

* Specialist mediation – age/issue appropriate, in the workplace, family conflict.

* Anti Bullying Strategy – a holistic prevention strategy to address the issues of bullying in our schools and in the work place

* Parental Support Services – A range of support services and tailored education/training packages for fathers & mothers.

* Child Contact Centres – supported and supervised contact facilities in a safe venue and providing a welcoming child friendly environment for children to meet with an absent parent or relative.

* Training – We provide a range of training services for individuals, couples, agencies, professionals and practitioners in conflict resolution, confidence building and assertiveness for women, parenting, and family nurturing.

* Training schemes in schools for children to become peer mediators.
